                                                    GUIDELINES FOR PAYMENT OF THE 2015 AGBAMI UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the Health and Engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national manpower pool offers University Scholarships to qualified Nigerian students across ALL states of the Federation.

The scholarship program, funded by Star Deep and its Agbami partners, is a major component of the Agbami partners' Social Investment in the strategic development of Health and Education in Nigeria and the Niger Delta in particular.

This Scheme Is Open To Unregistered Existing Awardees ONLY. 
Registered existing awardees need not apply.

In line with the Agbami Special Medical and Engineering Scholarship Policies, current awardees who wish to be retained on the scheme MUST satisfy the following requirements throughout the duration of their degree programme.


Medicine/Surgery

1.       Maintain a mandatory Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 60% or receive a PASS grade at one sitting during clinical years.
2.       Must not fail or re-sit a course

3.       Must remain within a course/program covered by the Agbami Scholarlship scheme


Dentistry
1.       Maintain a mandatory Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of  60% or Pass
2.       Must remain within a course/program covered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme

Pharmacy

1.       Maintain a mandatory Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of  60%
2.       Must remain within a course/program covered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme

Engineering

1.       Maintain a mandatory Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of  60%
2.    Must remain within a course/program covered by the Agbami Scholarship scheme

Deadline: Closing date for receipt of E-Applications is strictly June 6, 2015.



                                                                            


This Scheme Is Open To Unregistered Existing Awardees only for application.
Registered existing awardees need not apply.
Registered existing awardees should log on to their account and update their academic details accurately.
Unregistered existing awardees should follow the instructions listed below:

A.     
Before you start this application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:
                              i.            Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)           ii.           School ID card                              
          iii.           Admission letter
                            
          iv.          Birth certificate
                              
          v.           O' Level result
                            
          vi.          JAMB Result

B.       Go to www.scholastica.ng to create an account as follows.
1.       Click on "Register Now" to create an account.
2.       Proceed to your email box to activate your account
3.       Return to the www.scholastica.ng to continue your application
4.       Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
5.       Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents accurately.
6.       Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
7.       Ensure you re-view all information filled and documents uploaded, to eliminate errors.
8.       When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
9.       Recheck application information to avoid errors  

C.     
Enter the appropriate URL www.scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami20?? to apply to your year.
Where ?? represents the year you were awarded the scholarship.
i.e
  - for 2010 awardees the url is www.scholastica.ng/schemes/Agbami2010
      - for 2011 awardees the url is www.scholastica.ng/schemes/Agbami2011
       - for 2012 awardees the url is www.scholastica.ng/schemes/Agbami2012
       - for 2013 awardees the url is www.scholastica.ng/schemes/Agbami2013  

 Alternatively, you can visit the homepage, locate your award year scheme and apply to it
    
D.      Once on the page to apply to your award year
1.       Click "Apply Now" on your corresponding award year to submit information i.e. 2013 awardee to click “Apply now” on www.scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami2013     
2.       You will receive an email that confirms your application was successful.
3.       Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department to sign on the document.
4.       Scroll up the page, click on My Account on the black tab, Select overview
5.       Under the Undergraduate Verification Status, click download profile
6.       Print the form, append your signature and take to your HOD for signing
7.       Return to this page to upload clear signed form
8.       Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile; this would be used for verification.
9.       If National Identification Number (NIN) was not available in step B5, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
          -   Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number 
          -  Click "Create Account" and fill in the required  fields 
          -  Login with Email and Password to complete the form 
          -  After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture 
          - Visit any of the 37 capture centres https://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres  to complete the registration           process and obtain your National Identity Number 
-  You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office
10.   Return to www.scholastica.ng and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

 1.      Who is eligible to Register and Apply? 
This Scheme Is Open To Unregistered Agbami Existing Awardees ONLY. Only current Agbami beneficiaries who have not registered on scholastica are required to Register and Apply. Registered existing awardees should simply log in and update their academic details accurately.  
2.       How do I create my profile and apply? 
Visit www.scholastica.ng and click on Register to create an account, activate your account via your email and return to www.scholastica.ng to complete your user profile. Ensure you click on the scheme of your scholarship award year to open the scholarship page. Then click “Apply” in the top right hand corner of your screen to apply. i.e Beneficiaries awarded in 2010 should update their profile, upload the required documents, go to the homepage, click on 2010 scheme and Apply. 
3.       Will you confirm receipt of my application? 
Once you submit your online application form you will be sent an automated email acknowledging receipt of your registration. Afterwards, you are required to update your information, upload the necessary documents and apply to your scheme award year. You will be notified via email after this application.  
4.       What happens to my online application? 
Applications are stored in a database; after the closing date the information you provided are evaluated. 
5.       Do I apply to any other scholarship scheme? 
NO. You are a scholarship beneficiary, so you are not to apply to another International Oil and Gas scholarship scheme
6.       Can I change my profile details? 
Yes, you can. You are responsible for the correctness of the details provided. To correct errors after submission of your application, kindly log on to your scholastica profile, click on “My Account”, a dropdown appears, then click on “My Messages”. You will be directed to a page where you can directly send a message to the scholarship administrator stating your corrections. The corrections will be effected and a mail sent to you to confirming it. 
7.   Can I change the course (programme) or institution in my application and can I add information to my application after submitting?
You cannot make any changes or additions to after submission and the deadline has passed. Applications that are not complete when submitted will be cancelled and will not be considered. However, if the application deadline has not passed, you can edit / make changes to your application online. Refer to question 6 on how to do this. 
8.   When my details have been corrected after I applied to my scholarship award year, is this correction effected in my application or do I have to re-apply? No you don't have to re-apply.
9.   Where can I upload my passport photograph and other required documents? 
During the creation of your profile, click on the tab “Passport Photograph” and upload your passport in JPEG format, not larger than 200KB in size. To upload other documents, click on the tab “Documents” select appropriate document from the drop down list and upload. 
10.   What is the maximum size and image format of passport photograph and other required documents? 
Each document size should not be more than 200KB and the image format for your pass-port must be in JPEG, other files can be PDF, DOC, DOCX. 
11.   My course of study is not listed in my institution's list of courses in the online application form. What do I do? 
If your course of study is not on the list, send an email to scholastica@dragnet-solutions.com stating the name of your course of study, Faculty, CGPA Scale and name of institution. You will be notified in less than 24 hours via email once it has been added. 
12.   How do I know my application has been received? 
When you submit your application online, you automatically receive confirmation of receipt by email. Please note that your email provider may see this confirmation email as spam, so check if your junk or spam folder contains an email sent by admin@scholastica.ng You can also visit your profile to view the status of your application. 
13.   I am unable to submit my application before the deadline. Can I submit it after the deadline? 
No. E-Application closes at the stipulated deadline. 
14.   What must I submit with my application, to ensure it is a complete application? 
You must read the scholarship award information carefully and provide the documentation requested in the How To Apply section.  
15.   Can I fax or email the application or its components to the Scholarship Team? 
No. Faxed or email applications or components will not be accepted. 
16.   What date is the deadline?
Deadline for application is 6th, June 2015.
